Jack wanting to prove the group that he was a strong and brave boy, was carrying a sharp spear tracking down the pig through the thick and dense jungle. After a while, the Pig has escaped from Jack's eyesight. Irritated and frustrated he walked back to the beach, and finds only Ralph and Simon constructing huts as shelter for them to live in. Ralph annoyed about the fact that, every time they would build one up, it would either collapse or wouldn't like a sustainable place to live in. The huts was a vital resource for them, as it would keep them alive and protected from dangerous animals. Ralph and Simon the ones who were concerned of their survival was working really hard, whereas the remaining boys would splash around in the lagoon.
Ralph complaining about the fact that, they all had agreed at the meeting that they would make their survival plan to take into place. Ralph frustration sank into him, screamed out the fact that Jack's hunter has not caught a single pig for them to it. Ralph, annoyed that Jack, like the rest of the crew, is not very active to participating in building the hut, assumed that Jack and the hunters were using their duties as an excuse to actually face the reality of competing with the real work. Whilst the argument was erupting on the beach, Simon was curious of what was in the jungle and wandered into the jungle alone. He helps those boys who are hunting for fruits, which were reaching from high branches. He walks deeper into the forest and out of nowhere, paradise appeared right before his two eyes. It was peaceful and an open space filled with flora and fauna. Simon, excited of what he saw, double checked that no one was around, then sits down enjoying the marvelous scene of the beauty and its surrounding. |
Prediction:
My prediction of the very next chapter is that all of the survivor have settled down on the island and they have planned to do a special feast and gather around a fire they have built with Piggy's glasses. Judging by the name of the next chapter I assume, that the narrator starts explaining how the boys slowly recognise that it has been days since they had a good clean up and a haircut.

Opinion:
In my opinion, this chapter and the previous chapter that I have read is alright. It is not interesting as I expected it too be. The best part of this chapter was knowing that the boys have supported each other and participated in every survival plan that they have made. Some characters are more conceited than others. Even though I am still only up too chapter 3, I believe that in the end they are going to get rescued.
