As Ralph walks back, from the mountain, he walked directly to the beach, to give himself space and time to think and absorb the frustration within him. He is devastated by his appearance; in particular, his hair has grown way too long. He reflects the weariness of life. Not soon after, he decides to have a meeting after the sun was down, realizing the fact that as a chief he must make capable decision.
As he approach the meeting area, he could here the boys chattering over the top of one another. But as he got closer and closer, the boys quietened down and gave him way to go to his chief’s chair. He then begin the meeting seriously, telling the boys that this meeting is suppose to be serious and not for making jokes. He retells the fact that they had made three shelter. The first one which was the most cosy one, was made by every single one of them, the second one was made by four people, and the last one that keeps on falling apart is only made by Simon and Ralph. He reminds, what each places in the island is for. Last but not least, he refreshed everyone's mind, that fire is the most important resource on the island, as it could help them have a better chance to escape.
In a sudden twist of events, Jack exploded, he stood up and snatched the conch from Ralph's hand. He begin yelling at the littluns for being such cry babies and not helping the other hunting an building shelters. He explain to them that there is NO beast on the island. Piggy he was standing outside of the triangle, creeped in closer into the meeting circle. A littlun "Percival Wemys Madison" gave out his address and tried his very best to tell the boys his telephone, but he couldn't remember and began to cry. The group was silent, but slowly all the littluns joined in and started crying, noticing that they mixed the old life they had lived.
As he started to recovering from all the past thoughts, he told the group that the beast...was living in the water. The group which use to be loud and noisy, slowly quietened down and became speechless. Maurice then claims that all the animals in the sea haven't been discovered yet. Immediately after, arguments began throughout the group. The started to discuss their thought, that it could've been a ghost, but Piggy exclaimed that he does not believe in ghosts. Jack then attempt to start a fight with Piggy and call him "Fatty."

Prediction:
After reading this chapter, knowing for a fact that they had this feeling that the beast was from the water. I think in the next chapter, they would start investigating in the water around them and forming a better guard group to protect the survivors from the beast. I also believe that the boys may have some difficulties with the fire, as Jack's hunters can't keep it going and they are only bother participating in the hunting activities.
Opinion:
In my opinion, after reading this nail-biting chapter, I am starting to like this book as it is my type of book where it is mysterious and some violence is about to occur in the rest of the book. Furthermore, reading chapter I am able to realize that Jack isn't nice as i thought he would be. He is such an jealous and rude human being, that wants everything for himself.
