Simon now use to the atmosphere, woke up as a hug storm starts gathering around the island. Simon, speaks aloud to himself and starts questioning what he will do next. He then thought to climb up the mountain, and out of nowhere he catches sight of the Beast. As he is investigating, he then realize it is no beast but it is the dead parachutist. He unravels the cords that where attached to the parachutist, and runs back down to the mountain to inform the others that there are no beasts on the island. Piggy and Ralph attends Jack's feast with the hopes that they are able to take over the event. At Jack's feast, the boys are enjoying their delicious meal of the roasted pig. Meanwhile, Jack is sitting on his throne, with his face painted, and waiting for other boys to act like his servants.

When Ralph arrives, Jack gathered all the boys that joined his group, but Ralph still doesn't accept the fact that Jack has made a new group. He insist that he still has the conch and we still lead them, but Jack says the conch is useless as it has no authority on this side of the island.
As Ralph, defends for himself and tries to persuade the boys to come over to him, thick clouds were forming above their heads. Ralph then tells Jack's hunter that on his side, that there are shelters, and the boys who comes with him would be more safe. The hunters looked up to the sky uneasily, but Jack didn't a small problem to stop him, and declared a dance amongst the fire, beneath the starry sky. Even though Ralph and Piggy were mad at what Jack is trying to do, they caught in the excitement, and danced with the rest of the tribe. The boys starts reenacting the hunt of the pig. Suddenly, in the dense forest, they see a shadowy figure creeping closer of the forest...it was Simon. However, the boys didn't recognise Simon and assumed it was the best and started to tear him apart with their bare hands and teeth. Simon desperately tries to inform what he has discovered, but he trip and tumbled over the rocks onto the beach. The boys fall on him dangerously and kill him. |
Prediction:
|
I predict in the very next chapter or maybe in the rest of the book that all the boys will mourn, due to the death of Simon. Also, maybe just maybe that the boys will collaborate with one another and try to discover a way out. Maybe by building a raft or maybe another final signal to make a huge smoke into the clear blue sky.

Opinion:
|
Just assuming from the previous chapter, that maybe the conclusion of this book could be that they are going to be rescued. It is very rare for me to predict the conclusion, as a result this book is not a very intriguing book because it is a predictable book.
